Why we use WordPress for our clients

To make it as easy as possible for our customers to add content to their website, we always recommend a Content Management System (CMS). A CMS makes it possible for you to make changes to your website without having to have any in-depth knowledge of programming languages. For our clients we use a CMS called WordPress.Â

Market share WordPress
At the time of writing, WordPress is the website with the largest market share. Of the top 1 million website, 318,828 are running on WordPress (31.8%). This huge share is due to the great possibilities this system offers. WordPress is also open-source, which means that the source code is accessible to everyone. This ensures that it is always a lot better, faster and safer.

A few reasons why we at Ecoteers choose WordPress:

Because WordPress has such a huge market share, there are also many different plugins available. So many, that sometimes you can’t see the wood for the trees anymore. However, there are indeed many gems hidden in here. Which can make your website a lot more search engine friendly.

Besides this, your SEO depends on other factors, such as your hosting and the theme you use. However, when we deliver a website, we make sure that it is always perfectly set up for search engine optimization.

Easy to use

We want our clients to have a website that is obviously easy to use on both the front end and back end. WordPress provides these options by creating page roles. For example, we can configure that the client can only access the necessary content at the back of the website. This means you don’t have to scroll through menus of hundreds of different options to get to the information you need. Of course, that makes it so easy.

Integration with other tools

The CMS is very easy to integrate with a huge number of different tools. Take for example MailChimp, the largest party for sending newsletters. At the moment there are 36(!) plugins available to integrate this correctly. WordPress thus offers options to integrate almost all major available tools into your own website.

Possibility to extend

Websites built in WordPress are very easy to scale and expand. If you suddenly decide you want to sell products through your website? This is possible by integrating WooCommerce, the webshop module of WordPress, into your website. To indicate the size, The total share of webshops running on WooCommerce is 5.9%!
